THE SMITHY COTTAGE
The original Stoer Smithy is adjacent to, but detached from, The Smithy House. Once the original blacksmiths for the peninsula and used for shoeing the horses it has now been renovated to the highest standards, providing cosy, open-plan bothy accommodation sleeping up to two in twin beds. It comes fully equipped with fitted kitchen, (fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, cooker-hob, oven, grill), spacious shower room and living / bedroom with cathedral ceiling.
Windows to the front and rear, and a velux window in the main living / bedroom, enhance the spacious feel. This area has a multi-fuel stove as its central feature, supplemented where needed by electric panel heating. 2 seater sofa and a leather tub armchair, a dining table and chairs, high speed wifi, together with a small library of books and CD's and radio provide additional facilities.
Bedroom furniture provides two single beds, each with high quality mattress.
The well-equipped kitchen leads onto the Smithy’s own car-parking area and small, private garden with open views towards Loch Neil Bhain. Enjoy a quiet drink on the bench and watch the sun set.
All linen, towels and a welcome basket of logs and kindling for the stove are included. A hospitality tray containing tea, coffee, sugar and Borders biscuits along with fresh milk in the fridge is also supplied. Toiletries are from the Highland Soap Company range.
